The opening page of the Constitution of India
The opening page of the Constitution of India

January 26 marks Republic Day, commemorating the adopting of a Constitution for India. Hailed in its time as a path-breaking blueprint for a new nation, its creation occupied some of the greatest brains of our country. Much of the history of those from Madras who played an important role in the fashioning of this document can be traced in Mylapore.

Come and join historian Sriram V on a journey down memory lane on Thursday January 26, 2017 at 6.00 am. The tour, by foot, will last two hours and will end with breakfast. Charges: Rs 750 per head.
