I have just returned from my talk and here is the recording of it on Youtube, put up by my good friend, and fellow author – Lalitha Ram, through his Parivadini channel:

For all those who missed it here it is. And a million thanks to those who came.
Dear MMS, it was a great talk. You are motivating us to visit all the temples that MSD visited .. Always refreshing to attend.. You exel in Biographies ..
It was OUTSTANDING! Did it really last 45 minutes or was it four minutes? I mean to post about it separately!
Dear Sri Sriram
,I I did not know abt. your lecture on Dilshitar, but was told abt.it about 11 AM when I reached the venue. I no longer
regret having missed your very informative talk, after listening
in to the recording,
If Dikshitar has packed many small pieces
of information in his kritis, you managed to pack your short
lecture with as many details about the life and work of the great
Vaggeyakara as possible within the allotted time!
Mayuram G. Swaminathan
I was at the talk and wanted to ask a couple of questions – one about his possible second travel to the north and one on the lack of krithis on the deity he is named after. But you, as always, did not invite questions from the audience >_<
I am not aware of a second tour up north. There is one song kumaraswaminam in asaveri attributed to muthukumarswami.
Oh. So does that mean Dikshitar composed songs on the deities of Badrinath and the Sarasvati on the banks of the Sharavathi and the temple in Kashmir from his memory?
long story. Some other time. The one on badrinath is a spurious song, faulty in prosody. Sharavati just means a lake or river. Not any particular shrine.
Does that mean that the song on the Indraneela Parvatam (which is not far from Badrinath) is also probably spurious?
I’ll stop spamming with this comment and await the ‘some other time’ you spoke of instead.
U mean neelachalanatham? Hahaha
Really enjoyed and learned a lot from your informative talk on Sri Dikshitar’s work.
Regards
Vidya Subramanian
Shriram —
Thank you! That was a wonderful talk on the Nadajyoti.
Three questions —
1. Do you have a recording of any other talk given on Shri Dikshitar, Shri Shyama Shastri and Shri Venkata Kavi?
If yes, could you post the link(s)?
2. What is the name of the ShriRanjani varnam composed by Shri Ramasvami Dikshitar and then completed by His sons and SHri Shyama Shastri? I have scoured the web and most seem to mention this varnam and how it came about, yet not the name of the varnam.
Is it Svami Ni?
Edit:
1. talk(s) given by YOU on the composers.
Tks
