Yesterday’s tour of Royapuram was one of the most satisfying ones that I have done. It was great having so many people (the George Town by night of course beats it hollow) and it was fun walking around the place. Many thanks to Karthik Bhatt for having been such a good second-in-command. And Venkatesh Krishnamoorthy for having stepped off a Bangalore train at Central and come straight for the walk! Murali of BSNL fame of course will rank as my ‘A’ category regular, for he has been on ALL my walks since 1999! And to everyone else of course. Particularly Suma who having been an erstwhile resident, brought out the horror of the cylcones so vividly. A big thanks to Zarin Mistry and the other members of the Parsi community for having welcomed us.
