Dear Mr. Sriram,
This sneering at Tamil pronunciation is in extremely bad taste.
Each language has its own set of sounds available to it. Implicit in your mocking, sneering tone is that certain languages (e.g. Sanskrit) have a “superior” set of sounds. This is extremely lame and immature. Especially since every other article on your blog these days is about this issue.
I enjoy your more literate and learned articles on history and culture. And I would like to see more of those.
Sundar
I agree with Mr. Sundar. If some people use these spellings, it only means they don’t have exposure to Sanskrit. Making fun of their ignorance does not come across well, sir. Kapaali or Kabaali, I am sure the Lord listens to both 🙂
kA, pAli, kapAli 😉
How about laughing at something, Mr. Sundar and Ms. Nitya?
