4. The family of Raja Ravi Varma (from Rupika Chawla’s book on the painter)
5. In fiction – the family of Ponna in PA Krishnan’s Puli Naga Konrai (Tiger Claw Tree)
6. Rajah V Kishun Bahadur (from The Fall of Arbuthnot & Co by Dr Rangaswami Srinivasan)
7. Madras Equitable Assurance Society (ditto)
8. The Jacob Chamberlain Memorial Church, Madanapalle
9. Giri Rao of Madanapalle who had invested Rs 5000 of the Theosophical Society and lost all of it
