This is the Railway Mail Sorting office opposite the Central Station. The EB could think of no better place to put up their transformer. Not that the railways or the Post Office is bothered. The building was slated for demolition which has only been prevented because it got included in the 400 and odd structures listed as heritage buildings by the High Court in the Bharat Insurance Building case. But that does not mean it will be preserved. It can only not be demolished.
